The Agricultural and Livestock Service, announced on November 23 the lifting of the quarantine pest of fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata) in the municipalities of Tierra Amarilla and Copiapó, in Copiapo Region (formerly Region III), therefore , quarantine restrictions adopted at the time, have been suspended. This has also been notified to the main export markets for products originating Copiapó Valley. Only ratification should be expected by the markets so forth.
Regarding quarantines the metropolitan area that are active and affect the communities of Forest, and Lampa Farm, has only an approximation of the corresponding dates of the corresponding term eradication campaigns.
The dates that the SAG has been reported and estimated to raise quarantine are:
- The Forest: First half of December
- Lampa: First half of January
- The Farm: First half of January
