The Agricultural and Livestock Service, announced on November 23 the lifting of the quarantine pest of fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata) in the communes of Copiapo and Tierra Amarilla, Copiapó in Region (formerly Region III), thus , quarantine restrictions adopted at the time, have been suspended. This has been also reported to the main export markets for products originating in the Valley of Copiapo. Only ratification should be expected by the markets so forth.
Regarding quarantines the metropolitan area that are active and affect the communities of the forest, and La Granja Lampa, there is only an approximation to the corresponding date of the relevant term eradication campaigns.
The dates that the SAG has reported and estimated to raise quarantine are:
- The Forest: First half of December
- Lampa: First half of January
- The Farm: First half of January
